The tour will focus on true value, education and tools in a flexible,
modular way. The following fourteen subject “modules” will form the basis
for each event. A subset of the total modules will be selected and
presented based upon the location. For example, a city that is well versed
in open, integrated systems and LON technology would not have much time
spent on the fundamentals and would focus on the higher level, advanced
issues like IP connectivity. Conversely, an emerging market that has
little LON knowledge would have a more basic structure and content. This
allows each seminar to be fully customized based on regional requirements
and will benefit from local LONMARK Affiliate participation and knowledge
as well as Local Sponsor input.
We plan to offer participants — in selected cities — the opportunity to
take the refresher training course and new LONMARK Certified Professional
examination. An approved proctor will be available to administer the
examination to a pre-determined maximum number of participants. Online
pre-registration will be mandatory and will determine the testing schedule.
Examination registration will be on a limited, first-come, first-served
basis. The seminar tour and certification testing will be jointly promoted
and marketed. |
